Douglas Construction Burleigh Heads Project – The Managing Director of a commercial construction company engaged our specialist technical service to help solve a Temporary Power Solution problem recently in a combined Residential & Industrial area.
Scope:
Design, Install and Manage temporary power for a Retail Complex in Burleigh with a timeline to open for Christmas trade before Utilities could be connected.
Challenges:
Maximum Load meant the Temporary Power Source would most likely impact noise restrictions imposed by local council for the area. Location of the Generators on a busy construction site where available real estate space was at a premium needed to be included in whatever solution we would recommend to the client. Due to a tight project delivery schedule Installation & scheduled Maintenance needed to be completed outside of normal Construction hours so ongoing construction work was not impacted. Our client asked for a 24 / 7 Power Management Solution with operational savings for the term of the project.
Total Generators Solution:
1 of 500kva & 200kva with External Fuel Cell synchronized for load sharing & remotely monitored locally 24/7. Load sharing will allow for a even greater noise reduction at low load times with only the smaller of the two generators required to run. Remote Monitoring warning alert notifications sent to the Total Generators technical team for 24/7 emergency response management. Sound generator enclosure with exhaust attenuation for noise reduction as per the local council guidelines including refueling and scheduled maintenance.
Result:
Project construction completed on time meant retailers were operating on time for the Christmas trade period.
